Welcome to Our 2025 Sea-run Fish Interns!

We’re excited to welcome three outstanding students to the 2025 cohort of the Maine Sea Grant – NOAA Fisheries Undergraduate Internships in Sea-run Fish Research! These interns will spend the summer supporting critical research and conservation efforts focused on sea-run fish populations across Maine.

Audrey Fox, also a University of New England student, returns for her second summer as a Sea-run Fish Intern. A senior majoring in Aquaculture and Aquarium Sciences with a Marine Sciences minor, Fox is continuing her research on habitat conservation and shelter availability for sea-run fish in Downeast Maine, working with partners at the Department of Marine Resources and NOAA Fisheries.

Wade Hill, a student at Maine Maritime Academy, is triple-majoring in Marine Biology, Oceanography, and Small Vessel Operations. He is assisting with operations at the Milford Dam fishway trap and sort facility on the Penobscot River and is especially excited to gain hands-on experience with migratory fish species.

We’re thrilled to have Olivia, Audrey, and Wade on board this season and look forward to seeing the contributions they make to Maine’s sea-run fish conservation efforts.
