Marine Invasives

Maine Sea Grant’s work to address marine invasive species includes applied research, extension, and education initiatives to prevent or mitigate the impacts of marine invasive species through early detection, containment, or improved management practices. We also support research to evaluate opportunities for commercial products and markets for marine invasive species that will help to address their ecosystem impacts while providing economic and cultural benefits.
