Working access to the Gulf of Maine is threatened by real estate development and other changing land uses. In order for fishermen, water-dependent businesses, land trusts, economic development groups, municipalities, and the public to succeed in preserving Maine’s working waterfronts, they will need solid baseline data about land use and the status of waterfront access along the coast. This project will inventory and map the state’s working waterfronts, providing data to Maine ‘s 149 working waterfront towns.

1-year project: $5,000
