Margaret Campbell

My name is Margaret Campbell and I am a rising junior at the University of Maine this fall. I am a double major in Marine Science and History, with a minor in Ecology and Environmental Sciences. After graduating, I want to go to graduate school and get a degree in Environmental Policy and then work for either NOAA or the Environmental Protection Agency creating legislation to protect our ocean. I love everything about the ocean and can be found everyday swimming, boogie boarding, or surfing. This summer I am working under Justin Stevens where we are looking at River Herring in the state of Maine. I hope to gain necessary skills in data analysis, as well as better understand fishery management legislation and how this works in a state government setting. Even though this internship focuses on Maine, I will be working from my computer in San Diego and taking breaks going in the ocean.

Margaret is a 2020 Undergraduate Intern in Sea-run Fish Research.
