Maine Sea Grant welcomes new grants manager and fiscal officer
Maine Sea Grant is pleased to announce that Rachel Boynton has joined the team as our Senior Grants Manager and Fiscal Officer. Boynton is responsible for managing Maine Sea Grant finances as well as coordinating proposal submissions and managing financial activities after receiving awards.
“I’m incredibly excited to join Maine Sea Grant and be part of an organization that is so dedicated to supporting sustainable coastal communities and marine research,” Said Boynton, “I’m looking forward to getting to know my colleagues and contributing to the team’s success!”
Boynton holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration, which she earned from the University of Maine, Augusta, in 2011 and the University of Maine, Orono, in 2021. She also attended the Kennebec Leadership Institute with the Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce in 2022. Prior to joining the Maine Sea Grant team, Boynon served as the Operations Manager at New Ventures Maine at the University of Maine, Augusta.
