Wade Hill
2025 Maine Sea Grant – NOAA Fisheries Undergraduate Internships in Sea-run Fish Research
Wade Hill is a member of the Class of 2028 at Maine Maritime Academy, where he is triple-majoring in Marine Biology, Oceanography, and Small Vessel Operations. Originally from Auburn, Alabama, Hill is also a student-athlete on the MMA Men’s Basketball Team.
This summer, Hill is serving as a Maine Sea Grant Sea-run Fish Intern, working on the Bangor project with the Maine Department of Marine Resources. He is assisting with operations at the Milford Dam fishway trap and sort facility, contributing to efforts to monitor and support fish passage in the Penobscot River.
With a long-term goal of conducting research on a wide range of marine animals—especially sharks—Hill is excited to gain hands-on experience with the incredible species that migrate through Maine’s rivers each year.
HIll is a 2025 Undergraduate Intern in Sea-run Fish Research.
