Rachael Smith

Rachael Smith began attending the University of Maine at Machias in Fall of 2019 and is expected to graduate in May of 2023. She is studying marine biology with a concentration in coastal conservation as well as two minors in botany and zoology. Rachael intends to continue her education by attending graduate school after her undergraduate, and possibly pursuing a PhD so that she can help conduct research on how climate is affecting coastal ecology. This scholarship allows her the opportunity to continue school by supporting her tuition. She’s passionate about her research and studies and it’s scholarships like these that allow her to continue her education through financial support.
