Margaret Archibald

I am an undergraduate junior at Maine Maritime Academy pursuing a double major in Oceanography and Marine Engineering Technology expecting to graduate in 2026. My academic goals include participating in the installation of research equipment on Maine Maritime Academy’s training vessel, the T/S State of Maine, and pursuing a PhD in Physical Oceanography in the future. My professional goals include installing research equipment on commercial vessels to increase the amount of data available for educators and the greater science community as well as studying element concentrations throughout the water column. Scholarship programs like the Maine Sea Grant Undergraduate Scholarship make it possible for me to attend Maine Maritime Academy. The Maine Sea Grant Scholarship will support my academic goals by assisting with my college tuition. I look forward to being part of the Maine Sea Grant community.
