Lydia Pinard

Lydia Pinard is a rising junior from Bradford, New Hampshire studying Marine Science with a concentration in Oceanography at the University of New England. She is currently working on a project in the Gulf of Maine to find locations of changing heat content and to better understand the implications of warming. With the guidance of Dr. Charles E. Tilburg, the Director of School of Marine Programs and the Arthur P. Girard Marine Science Center at UNE, Pinard has become more confident in her coding skills and has fallen in love with data science. Pinard’s short term goal is to have her research published by her senior year. In the future, she wants to pursue a doctorate in oceanography.

Pinard is a 2020 Undergraduate Scholarship in Marine Sciences recipient.
