Emily Rose Stringer
Emily Rose is majoring in Human Ecology with a concentration in Marine Biology and Field Ecology. They expect to graduate from College of the Atlantic in 2024. During their undergraduate career Emily Rose has studied the larval cycling of sea cucumbers through zooplankton monitoring. They are excited to wrap up this long-term study and examine the data to elucidate possible circumstances that contribute to sea cucumber spawning events. Emily Rose has recently become involved with the River Herring Network where they are constructing a platform to visualize river herring fish run data. The Maine Sea Grant Scholarship will support Emily Rose’s continuing sea cucumber research and involvement in river herring collaborative management.
Emily Rose is a 2023 Maine Sea Grant Undergraduate Scholar.
