Ella Offerdahl

Ella Offerdahl, University of Maine Junior, is majoring in Marine Science with a concentration in Marine Biology. She plans to attend graduate school after she graduates in 2026. A highlight of her undergraduate experience is working as a research assistant at the University of Maine’s Cammen lab where she has helped to support efforts to archive and inventory marine mammal specimens which will help enable long term marine mammal health in the Northeast US region. Her Career interests include continuing to explore research involving marine mammals and population dynamics, jobs revolving around marine genetics and disease, and careers related to marine pollution and climate change. The Maine Sea Grant Undergraduate Scholarship will academically support her continuation at the University of Maine and will enable her to explore additional areas of marine science. She is excited to discover new marine science related passions, and to be part of the Sea Grant Community.
