The Beaches Conference
The 2021 Maine and New Hampshire Beaches Conference Postponed Until Summer 2022
Thank you for your interest in the Beaches Conference. Given recent events, continued uncertainties, current meeting/travel restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic we regret to announce that the Maine and New Hampshire Beaches Conference Planning Committee has made the decision not to hold the Maine and New Hampshire Beaches Conference in 2021
out of concern for the safety of our volunteers and participants.
The pandemic has made it extremely challenging to plan and prepare for an in-person event, even a biennial one. The Planning Committee has also determined that an online, virtual conference would be an inadequate substitution for the reunions, workshops, field trips, and
other networking opportunities that occur in a such a long-running, face-to-face conference.
The 13th Beaches Conference plans to return in summer 2022.
The Save the Date will be sent in September, 2021 and a call for proposals will open in October 2021. Watch this page for updates.
This has been a unprecedented year and the Beaches Conference Planning Committee believes that, despite the departure from normal circumstances, we will continue to have an engaging and successful conference when we resume in 2022. We look forward to seeing you then, when we can be together again on the coast we all protect, study, and love.
