The annual Northeast Aquaculture Conference & Exposition was held jointly with the 37th Milford Aquaculture Seminar in Providence, Rhode Island in January 2017. NACE was created in 1998 by the Maine Aquaculture Innovation Center with the goal of bringing together producers, service providers, vendors, researchers, students, and managers from across the Northeast region to discuss pressing issues and relevant research on aquaculture. Hundreds of people attended the meeting, which featured concurrent sessions on all aspects of aquaculture, multiple workshops, field trips, and a trade show featuring 30 vendors servicing the industry.
